If you have the need to update information regularly by means of news feeds with regular updates to your pages then a dynamic website would be for you. If however, you only require content which will be static and not change that regularly then a static website would be the best option. Anything that includes selling online however would come under e-commerce and would be best suited to a dynamic website.
This can vary depending on requirements and how many pages you may need. We try to encourage most medium sized businesses to have at least 5 pages, but we can develop a site with a minimum of 3 pages. Turnaround time can vary based upon the requirements of the site and also the number of pages needed, and if any other work is undertaken such as logo design, branding, and video work. Awaiting material and content can also slow the process down and delay the finalisation and completion dates of the project. The average turnaround time depending on workload and site complexity is generally 2-8 weeks. Simple uncomplicated solutions can be delivered within 2 weeks usually.

Chances are the company you are with with have your domain name registered with a registrar and this can often be problematic when attempting to recover control of your domain name. As domains are locked by the registrar after purchase, you will need to contact them with proof of your Identification usually via phone or email and request they unlock the domain. Only when it is unlocked can you submit a transfer request with the new hosting company. We do not get directly involved with domain transfers, but we can advise on how you can resolve this issue if needed.

This is because of the way that the search engines search web servers for new content and the way it's included. It can sometimes take weeks or months before websites are picked up by the search engines.
This depends on the type and nature of business, but a good place to start would be to think about what wording you would like included on your site, and what photos you would like included also. If you have any ideas about logos, colours or layout be sure to note these down roughly on paper and present them to us. You can also email us your content. We can accept scanned sketches, word documents, jpeg images from digital cameras etc.
We offer an after sales service to rectify any issues (if any) that you may be having with your site, and also include any last minute changes or material which you would like included. Pay particular attention to services and products and how they relate to your business.
While we make every effort to make dynamic pages search engine friendly by embedding static elements into them, we cannot guarantee how effective this will be with regards to search engine ranking profiles, but we are certain the search engine will pick out the pages without any issue.
This depends on which solution you go for. A static site will need to be updated manually and the task would be better delegated to us. If however you have paid for a dynamic website there will exist facilities for you to update the information yourself online by means of a back-end username and password.
Your obligations will be to keep your domain name and hosting renewed every year to avoid your site going offline due to expiry. You can choose to let us deal with this for you or you can register the domain and web hosting in your name if you so wish so in the event of the renewal date coming up, you will be the first one to receive the news via email.
Yes, the hosting packages we offer and recommend come with email as standard which will be attached to your chosen domain name. You can access your mail via a web-mail feature offered by the domain hosting provider. Alternatively you can set up your mail client such as Microsoft Outlook to retrieve the mail for you. We can provide assistance with this if you require it.
No two web browsers are the same and because of standardisation issues between them it is extremely difficult to create web pages that look 100% identical on all browsers and platforms. There may be some slight spacing issues regarding the text and layout, but you can rest assured that your site will render correctly over different platforms and browsers and your site will not appear 'broken'.

Yes payment gateways can be implemented and there are a few choices and avenues you can explore with this. One is the Google Checkout System which takes a small commission for every transaction, or Paypal which works in a similar way. Direct card authorisation services require trusted bank accounts and can only be implemented employing strict standards including the use of SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption technology. To use SSL you will require subscription to a trusted authority which will grant you an SSL certification code which will be used with every transaction. SSL Certificates are quite expensive initially and should not be considered for small businesses.
